Intel Manufacturing Project
JHS managed the City planning approvals and entitlements for a new, mission-critical manufacturing project on behalf of Intel in Santa Clara. The project proposed the development of a new manufacturing building consisting of a semiconductor fab with an attached central utility building to serve the planned manufacturing equipment. The new buildings will total over 107,000 square feet and will be constructed on a 2.4-acre portion of an existing industrial campus. This project will add urgent, national priority semiconductor chip manufacturing capacity at the campus.
JHS led the preparation of the application materials and spearheaded the project review and approval by the City. This process involved extensive coordination with the corporate team, various City departments, and other agencies and stakeholders. The project was under intense schedule pressure and scrutiny. Despite the complexity of the project and site, the project was approved on-schedule and within budget, with no public opposition.
